Truth vs. Rhetoric

Here's a test for you all: How many members of Iran's parliament are jewish?
Feel free to read the correct answer in the comments, then bear this in mind whenever you hear anything about Iran in the media. The "Islamic theocracy" isn't quite as extreme as you might think.

    The correct answer is 2, only 1 who considers himself fundamentalist. While it's not many, how many Americans would know this?

    That's like saying the Bush administration isn't extreme because Joe Lieberman is in the Senate.

    I didn't mean to imply that it makes Iran's parliament moderate, only that the picture painted by the media is incomplete.
