Walt Kelly was a genius, and some of his cartoons are remarkably relevant to this day. Here, he anticipated political debate over 45 years ago.

A number of his lines have entered popular conversation, but sadly, I doubt many people younger than us even know who he is. I consider myself lucky that my father was a big fan, so I got plenty of exposure to Pogo. "We have met the enemy and he is us."
